Happy Friday!
This week has flown by, I can't believe it's Friday already! We have many projects on the go at the moment, today we finalised the prints for our debut Kids collection. Exciting times! It feels good to have one element taken care of, we should get our printed fabrics to start chopping and playing with in a mere few weeks. I have been busy scribbling away my ideas and even made a few pieces for Lula to get me used to the idea that they will be worn by mischievous little ones. I can't wait to share more with you as things progress.
The Bows and Ladders dress
I planned to make this little number as part of the One of a Kind series but it turned out so darn cute I felt more had to be made.. and so I did! They are in the shop now if you fancy one yourself :)

A little bit of inspiration
Leah Reena Goren
I was admiring the work of photographer Amber Byne this morning and stumbled across this lovely shoot she did for Leah Reena Goren. It got me thinking how long it's been since I posted any work by other artists or designers I admire. There should always be room to share and appreciate the beautiful work crafted by passionate individuals.
So today we celebrate the talented illustrator/designer Leah Reena Goren who magically turns everything she touches into wearable cuteness. Grab all your favourite cat and floral prints on her Etsy shop, or just browse through her illustrated blog and feel inspired to paint everything around you.. I'm totally smitten with these chiffon scarves that need to find their way into my life soon or who knows what will happen..!?

Cape Town Adventures
SEA POINT PROMENADE
Not much of an adventure but still one of my favourite things to do in sunny Cape Town. Having lived in Mouille Point for quite some time last year I was fortunate to have the sea on my doorstep. A walk along the sea front was the easiest way to clear my head and calm down a tearful little Lula. Everything seems much clearer when your looking out into the horizon being soothed by the sound of the waves and breathing in that salty sea air. The promonade stretches on for a good few miles so it's easy to keep walking and walking... getting lost in your thoughts while busy Sea Point life goes by.

THE OUTFIT
These days you are likely to find me wearing a simple Summer dress like our Rain drop or Art Class dress, both an evolution of the Pixie Goes Sailing silhouette but I find this version much easier to style and always flattering (even after a big meal). I've fallen back in love with jewellery the past few months and started collecting some lovely pieces from a few South African designers. Have a look at Dear Rae if you like dainty rings and bracelets, there are quite a few I have my eye on..
What Nadinoo style are you favouring this season?

Sunny start to the year
I've always enjoyed the beginning of a new year, a fresh start with new goals, ambitions and resolutions to fulfil. For me it's always a good reminder that I need to take better care of myself so I have been making improvements in my daily routine to fit in as many relaxing and healthy habits. Lets hope I can keep it up..

I've been daydreaming of putting together a small children's wear range for quite some time so I'm hopeful it will finally come to fruition this year. The idea of mini versions of your favourite Nadinoo's has to be brought to life, at the very least so my little Lula can run around in Nadinoo dresses of her own. I fear I'll never find time otherwise..
I have lots more ideas and grand plans scribbled down in my shiny new diary but it would be lovely to hear what you would like to see from us in 2014. Please don't be shy, all ideas are welcome for either the blog or future collections.
P.S. The blog is going through a slow make over, I hope to inject a little love back into it and plan to welcome back like minded sponsors very soon. Please email me if your interested at info@nadinoo.com
