A little something to share..

I have to admit I've been a little vague in my recent posts and that's because I've been hiding a little secret that I'm now ready to share with you.. In February next year there will hopefully be a little addition to the Nadinoo family, we will be welcoming a little baby Nadinoo into our world. I'm already 18 weeks along and time feels like it's flying by. My bump has grown double in the past couple of weeks which has made me feel well and truly pregnant, especially as the little one has started to make it's presence known with mini kicks and moves at surprising moments during the day. I thought it would be nice to share little snippets on the blog of my pregnancy journey, nothing too gory or detailed I promise! As I have enjoyed following many bloggers over the years share their 40 week adventure, I thought a few of you might like to see how I get on. I think for me it's been nice to see ladies with such a strong identity take on an even bigger roll and still retain what made them so special. I hope I too can gain these new qualities without loosing any of the old ones that made me, ME!
This is my first attempt at dressing my bump for evening drinks with friends, obviously it will be mocktails and cranberry juices for me. As my body has changed so quickly I don't yet know what I can still fit into from my old wardrobe (without looking too comical). When I re-fabricated the Darling dress from the SS11 collection for the Print a day series I tried on an X-Small almost as a joke, however I was pleasantly surprised! I think it's still flattering the way the original was with the sweeping neckline and hip skimming shape but with a little extra that makes it look quite charming. I love it so much I think I might try it another print for the print a day series, any ideas which?.. As the silhouette was adapted from an original 60's pattern it really makes me feel like a lady from that era + the mini baby bump of course. I can't wait to find out what other silhouettes this new shape can pull off!

Last days of Summer..

I thought it would be nice to share a few more photos from our trip down to Ruttland. These were taken while the weather was glorious and we managed to get a little sun on our skin while walking around the reservoir and bathing in the grassy fields. I have to confess that when the sun is shining I tend to wear as little as possible so this Nadinoo maxi dress was a little prim for me. I've worn the shorter version of Fleur's Blossom and Thistle dress a lot more over the Summers so I'm a tad sad that they are almost gone from the shop. Really feeling that Summer has come to an end here, even though it never really begun this year we have made the most of every ray of sunshine brought our way. I hope you've all had warmer days and got plenty of wear out of your summer wardrobe, with hopefully the odd Nadinoo dress in there too!

At the bottom of the garden

After all the rain we've been having this Summer it made sense to take a few days off while the sun was miraculously shining. Making the most of this blessed weather we drove down to my mother in Law's for a few days to enjoy her beautiful garden that invites you to explore and discover all it's hidden treasures. We spent our days bathing in the sun and sampling the delights she grows, blueberries, black & red currents, gooseberries, tomatoes, runner beans to name a few... Gardening is something I have yet to master so it's all a mystery to me how she gets them to taste so good. I always find it easy to relax while I'm there, far from our bustling city they live in a quiet little village called Oakham packed with character and simple English charm. I'm sure I'll be posting more photos from our visit soon.

A surprise between the pages of Frankie 48

It's no secret that I'm smitten with Australian magazine Frankie, I  have posted numerous times on this blog about their amazingness. What I love the most is that the team are just as warm and friendly as they come across in their creatively written articles. Not only were they kind enough to feature our latest collection Sounds of the woods and allow us to offer their readers a 15% discount on this collection (those of good sight may be able to spot the discount code above..) but they also sent me an extra copy of issue 48 that I would love to give away to one lucky lady. Everyone is welcome to enter (even if your a boy), just leave a comment below telling us why you love Frankie so? and include your email address so we can contact you should you be the lucky winner chosen on the 20th of July.
Good luck all!

By the way have you seen our new Nadinoo website layout? We are pretty chuffed with it and feel it gives you an easier way to shop and view past seasons. Always love to hear your thoughts..
