Good life giveaway on Calivintage

It's hard not to fall in love with a lady who tackles motherhood in such style. I have been following Erin's evolving style over the years and always so flattered to see her dressed in our wears. It has to be the best way for me to know I've hit my target audience when a blogger like Erin gets the thought behind a collection and embraces the mood so naturally. Her styling of our Good life pinafore has to be the best example of how to wear double denim and look effortlessly cool.

Head over to Calivintage to enter our giveaway and win your favourite piece from the Good life collection.

A countryside shoot

Since this collection was inspired by our move to Rutland's countryside it made sense to make the most of our beautiful surroundings and shoot the collection in our home and neighbouring villages. I have been location spotting since we moved here, oohing and ahhing at how perfect each backdrop would be for a shoot just like this, so forgive me for being so passionately proud of what we achieved on that gloomy afternoon. This season I teamed up with my talented sister Amira who has been earning her crust photographing weddings and other special days in peoples lives. She has developed her own clean style (See amiramade) and a serious speed when it comes to shooting that I have never seen before. We had the studio Lookbook all shot by lunchtime leaving us with an entire afternoon to escape outdoors and photograph in the rural setting I had fallen so hard for.

The good life

I have to admit I was a little nervous about moving to the countryside, even though it felt like the perfect lifestyle choice for us, I was hesitant it would get a bit dull after a while. It's strange how different phases in your life attract you to different places, I would have never imagined myself in a remote village like this with only a shop, pub and a cafe to keep me going. But as it turns out I have never felt more at home than when I'm when I'm walking down Main street past the stone cottages knowing the open fields are just around the corner. I can't stop myself taking a deep breath every time I see the countryside rolled out in front of me and feel so grateful that life has brought me here. With a mind that is always busy churning away the simplicity of village life is keeping me surprisingly calm. It has helped me gather my thoughts and regain the focus of my little brand to offer you something that I feel truly represents where I'm at right now. It's easy to see how this place has influenced the style, colours and prints of this new collection and I hope you are as charmed as I am by all it represents. I can't wait to share more of this collection with you next month, but I thought you might like to see one more look that I just had to take for an morning stroll..
