Countryside walks

When moving back to the England two years ago I was keen to rediscover my home country and appreciate all the beautiful places I had previously neglected to visit. Since then we have enjoyed so many countryside walks, coastal holidays and mini city breaks throughout the UK. I wanted to share snippets of our adventures so you can build an image of our little Britain and perhaps even inspire a visit to us one day. I for one love browsing through blogs for a glimpse of countries and places I have never been, it's a great way to get to know the world as a local.
These photos were taken on a walk around Rutland water while visiting family on New Year's day.

Styling a rising star

On Monday I had the pleasure of nipping down to London to style the delightful Alaina from the Indie band Tennis for their UK Album launch. They held an intimate gig at Hoxton Square Bar for their dearest fans and chatted to the press about their New Album Young & Old (produced by Patrick Carney of the Black Keys). Alaina had already selected her favourite looks from our Winter collection which I brought along so it was easy to find the perfect look for the night. We settled on Fleur's Moon & Stars dress and teamed it with a leather bound belt, dusty mauve tights and her favourite pair of golden shoes for a bit of sparkle. She looked like a delicate doll with her tiny frame and flowing golden hair, so excitable to sing her heart out on stage. While she applied the final touches to her make-up we chatted about her favourite clothing labels, life on tour and the joys of married life. She was such a delight I was so pleased I had the chance to style and meet her in person. I feel like too much of my work these days is conducted over the internet, always nice to meet people and discover you get along in the real world too.

The show was amazing and fully packed with an excitable crowd ready to hear their new songs. Alaina's voice live was more powerful than I had imagined from recordings, she was so comfortable and at ease with her audience playing alongside husband Patrick and fellow band mate James.
I was first introduced to the band early last year when an opportunity to contribute to Alaina's wardrobe for their tour supporting the Vaccines came about. After listening to the first few songs from their debut album Cape Dory and I knew her cute upbeat vocals would play happily in the studio while I work. Since then I've been hearing their name and music pop up all over the place which is a true sign the Denver based band have something special to offer.

I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of their new album Young & Old so I can sing along to every word at their next London show..

Hope Mill

Since moving to Hope Mill at the end of December we have begun to slow the pace down at Nadinoo. It will be our 3 year anniversary in March which is pretty exciting but I don't think I've had a chance to stop and take stock since it all began. It's been nice to calm things down and take the pressure off and as a result we plan to skip the Spring collection and take a little breather while we prepare for the next stage of Nadinoo (watch the space..). There are still plenty of Winter styles yet to be handmade and released in the shop so it will be business as usual for the next few months and a mini Summer collection to follow with unique limited edition pieces popping up in between so stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter for regular updates.

In case you missed the Tweets on our weekend Love Bird offer in preparation for Valentines day we have extended it a further day just for you. To claim 15% off your Nadinoo order use the code VALENTINE when you check out. We have also released a few new styles and re-stocked a few other favourites, so I hope there is something there to tempt you. x
