Soup Kitchen, Tennis and Nadinoo

If you follow us on Twitter you will already know how excited I was that Tennis were playing in Manchester Friday night. It feels like such a long time since I was down in London at the Hoxton bar meeting with the band and getting to know the lovely Alaina. As soon as I discovered they would be visiting us in our home town (Thanks to 6Music) I knew it would be a great opportunity to see them again and dress Alaina in yet another Nadinoo. It was so nice to catch up with them and talk about how things have progressed since the launch of their new album Young and Old which has made a huge impact in the US (recently playing on Letterman).
The show itself on Friday was good fun, held in the basement of our much frequented Soup Kitchen, it felt as if they were playing in our living room. Alaina's vocals were even more beautiful than on recordings and the band gave each songs a rockier feel that was much appreciated by the Manchester crowd. I danced like a crazy lady and sang along to each song while snapping happily away to give you a little hint of the night.
It has to be said that Alaina looks yummy in her polka dot Untie me dress, it was tricky to find a more fitting silhouette to make for her. The pretty blue fabric is a little teaser from our upcoming 2012 collection, I hope it gets you excited!..

I'm already looking forward to catching up with this cute Denver based duo and getting my next Tennis fix, they are as charming as they come across in interviews :)
If you missed the Best fit session I posted in March, take a looksee here and enjoy Alaina singing in our Moon & Stars dress!

Bunnies at brunch

I took a couple of days off from the A Print a day series to catch up on all your orders, the response so far on twitter and facebook has been amazing. Thank you all so much for your kind orders, comments and suggestions for future A print a day offerings, it's been really encouraging. I promise to do my best to offer a little something for everyone. Today I have a special little style to share with you called Bunnies at Brunch the sweet print was designed by Liberty for the Japanese market (They get the best stuff!). I had plenty of fun putting together a sunny outfit around this shirt, I'm only sad I now have to say goodbye as there was only enough fabric for two.
Hope they find a happy new home soon as they have certainly made me smile :)

Frolicsome blossom post

Summer Breeze dress now available

I don't know what it is about blossom that makes us girls want to put on our floaty frocks and dance around as though we are in a perfume ad. I'm starting to think it's not officially Spring without a frolicsome blossom post, and as much as I've been enjoying all of yours I had to try it for myself. So here is my tribute to Spring, wearing the latest piece from our A Print a day series, which I'm happy to report has gone down a treat (Thank you). If you already own an Untie me dress you will know just how girlie and fun it is to wear, and I'm happy to say it's just as dreamy in the Summer breeze print. If anything it feels a lot fresher and easy to offset with the many colours found in the print. In this outfit I kept it pretty soft with blush tights but I'm dying to brighten it up with some stronger yellows, greens and blues using fun tomboy styling...

A Print a day

Counting Planes shirt now available

So today we are launching the first limited edition piece from our A Print a day series. Liberty's Tom Jets is a print which captured my imagination from the very start. I enjoyed designing many fun styles with it for the SS11 collection that you snapped up straight away, leaving only a few meters that I snuck away for a rainy day. And as it has been pouring out lately, I made you a few shirts using our new slim shirt pattern and gave it a classic Peter Pan collar. But my favourite touch to this little beauty have to be the dual dome buttons running down the slim placket, they look good enough to eat..

This print also inspired a little trip to the Air and Space Museum, where we enjoyed getting up close to some real war time jets. Can you guess which I wanted to take home?

Nadinoo update

Fleur's Untie me tee (Now back in-stock)

Just wanted to give you a little update on happenings in the Nadinoo shop this Summer. We have decided to postpone the Summer 12 collection to become a bigger Autumn Winter 12/13 offering (launching early September 12). I promise this decision was not an easy one, but it made sense as we still have a great selection of AW11 and SS11 still available, it seemed wasteful to create more. We have just re-listed many more sold out SS11 items that you may have been missing, and will be re-stocking all the AW11 pieces very soon (with the exception of Pixie's Bird a day shirt in cream, sorry!). If there is anything that you would like that is not currently listed just send us an email and we may be able to make it for you.
The exciting news is we will be launching a Limited edition collection of your favourite Nadinoo silhouettes from the past 3 years in a variety of Liberty prints. There will only be a few of each and some special one of a kind pieces. So make sure you check out our Twitter and Facebook pages for regular updates if you don't want to miss out.. Over the past 3 years designing for Nadinoo I have hoarded quite a few adorable Liberty Prints that I kept promising to one day use on a special project. I'm so happy I've finally put them to good use and fulfilled their purpose of becoming loved Nadinoo garments. I've named the collection A PRINT A DAY as we plan to list one style each day. With some being one of a kind it will be interesting to see how soon they find new homes! If you have any archive Nadinoo designs you would like to see again then let us know, it's always useful to know what you loved.

I took the photos above while packing recent orders, I have to say it's my favourite part of the handmade process. Like saying bye to little friend knowing it's going to happy home. I think it may also be the inner child in me who just wants to play shop..
