TAKE COURAGE

A wonderful welcome home treat to see our Colour me in dress styled so elegantly by Cat on the Eastbourne coastline. She posted these breath taking photos over on her blog Take Courage, along with a thought provoking piece on her current daydreams. I have to admit I'm a little smitten!
Why not pop over to the TAKE COURAGE blog and enjoy the full post?

I have to admit I'm not a big fan of throwing things away, even though we have moved around the world more times than I care to remember, I feel something is not rubbish until it can be used no more! Which is why I'm a little smitten with South African brand RE create who leave nothing to waste. They have cleverly found the cutest ways to re-purpose old suitcases, broken scales and other household objects no longer fit for the job. I remember seeing one of their delightful suitcase seats in a magazine a good few years ago and thinking they were onto a winner! So it was utter joy when I stumbled into their store in Woodstock, Cape Town, they were even kind enough to let me take these photos so I could share their cleverness with you all!

If you have a treasured peace lying around the house that you would love to see RE created, why not get in contact with these guys and see what new life they can breath into it for you..

ZANA

I was delighted to stumble across this lovely space within Salt circle and find it open, I'm usually peeking through their windows on a Saturday trying to see all their vibrant prints and get a sense of what they create during the working week. Thankfully they decided to open their studio doors to the public on a Saturday and I was able to step inside and have a good look around.
For some time now I've been daydreaming of opening a studio/retail space for Nadinoo and seeing how successfully Zana harmoniously combined the two is wonderfully assuring. I love getting a glimpse into other designers work spaces (especially while they work) seeing sewing machines, cutting tables and finished products piled high is all incredibly motivating. Even the warm welcome you receive from the designers as you enter makes you feel your not intruding, only admiring what they create!

Be sure to nip over to the ZANA website for their entire offering, the blog is packed with creative ideas and nifty tutorials which I'm sure will inspire.
